BASIC FARES SEASON 2023-24 (ONE-WAY)

  • Rate based on the weight and/or market value of your vehicle.
  • Deposit of $300.00 on each reservation and balance payable on departure date.
  • CAA discount (5% of base fare (not including fuel surcharge)) and Fadoq ($50.00) available.
  • There are no applicable taxes on shipments to the USA.
  • PICK-UP AND DELIVERY SERVICE (IN ADDITION TO BASIC RATE)

    You can deliver your car to our Lachine or Mont St-Grégoire terminal at no extra charge.

    We also have terminals in Quebec City and Gatineau where you can deliver the vehicle for an additional fee.

     

    In Florida, you can pick up your vehicle at the Davie, Florida terminal (2775 Burris rd, Davie, Fl) for an additional fee.

    Our Florida terminal is open Monday to Friday 9:00 to 16:00.

     

    We can pick up your vehicle at your home in Montreal, Quebec City, Ottawa and surrounding areas.

     

    Rates vary according to distance traveled.

    We can also deliver your Florida car to your home to make your trip worry-free.

  • Delay

    We can transport your car door-to-door within 5 business days from Montreal to Florida (depending on location).

     

    In the Montreal area, we take possession 1 business day before your departure date. The further away you are from Montreal, the more days are required.

     

    In Florida, we deliver the vehicle 1 business day after arrival in Florida and there are no weekend deliveries.

  • Required documents

    We require certain documents to be able to cross the border.

     

    • Once the reservation has been made, customs documents will be emailed to you and must be completed and returned within 5 days (CTPAT, 3299 (required for Florida)) and Canada customs required for return to Canada.
    • Documents must be received 5 days prior to departure, as this may result in a delay in transporting your vehicle.
    • Color copy of valid driver’s license
    • Color copy of valid passport
    • Color copy of valid registration certificate (original required on departure)

     

    All documents must be sent in PDF format via e-mail:

     

    sc@transportlaberge.com photos of documents are not recommended, as we often have to reject them because the quality is not satisfactory for customs.

  • IMPORTANT INFORMATION TO AVOID ADDITIONAL COSTS AND WHAT IS ALLOWED IN THE VEHICLE
    • Fuel tank must be ¼ full or less at time of shipment due to weight restrictions. If the fuel tank is more than ¼ full, a $75.00 charge will apply.
    • Personal items can be placed in the vehicle’s trunk. The trunk is the designated space for unrestricted items. For an SUV, the trunk is considered to be the space behind the last seat. If you choose to lower the seat and place additional items, there will be an additional charge of $70.00. It is strictly forbidden to place items on the front seat or on the floor of the rear bench. If you have only 1 golf bag on the back seat, the fee will be only $45.00. These rules are in place due to weight restrictions. Windows must be kept clear so that the driver can see out when loading and unloading the vehicle onto the truck.
    • Food, medication, alcohol, tobacco and items purchased in the USA are strictly forbidden in the vehicle. We prohibit ALL food because the list of restrictions is very long and specific, and we have several vehicles to manage. We can’t afford to check every item.
  • Cancellation policy/Change of date

    The cancellation policy and related fees are as follows:

     

    Less than 29 days from departure date: $300.00

    More than 30 days from departure date: $200.00

     

     

    The date change policy and related fees are as follows:

     

    Less than 29 days from departure date: $300.00

    More than 30 days from departure date: $200.00

  • EZPass transponder

    Consider removing your transponder from the vehicle.

     

    In the past, some transponders have acquired fees when the vehicle is on the truck and we are unable to assist you in waiving the fees as the transponder is registered in your name.

     

    Any charges associated with a personal transponder are your responsibility.

Process

  • 1

    Send us an e-mail with the information in the first section:

     

    (year, make, model of vehicle, weight of vehicle (indicated on your registration), value of vehicle, city of departure, city of arrival) and we will send you a quote with the documents required to make a reservation.

  • 2

    Complete your booking here on the website.

    OR Complete the reservation forms and return them via e-mail:

     

    sc@transportlaberge.com with your driver’s license, passport and vehicle registration.

     

    (please allow 48 hours to process your documents)

    A confirmation email will be sent to you along with the custom documents to be signed and mail us the original to :

    The original signature is required by US customs.

     

    A scanned email is no longer acceptable.

    Approximately 10 days before departure, we will call you and confirm that all is good with your file and review all questions.
